Pricing

Every website is different both in its purpose and its complexity.  For this reason, a variety of options are available when implementing a new website:

  • basic design services - basic design usually costs $35 per hour and we can usually create a 10 page site in about 6 hours.  We generally recommend you budget about $210 for the design of a basic site.
  • domain registration - current Internet registration fees for unique web names (e.g. www.Shark-Designs.com) costs $70 for the first 2 years and $35 a year thereafter.  If you money.jpg (5263 bytes)currently have your own webspace, you don't need to register a unique name in order to setup your website, but the domain registration does add a level of professionalism to your business.
  • web space - if you currently have an Internet connection, you probably have webspace provided to you at no extra charge (it's included in your monthly ISP bill).   This space can be used to host your site.  If, however, you need more interactivity (e.g. CGI scripting), database capability or have a registered domain name, most ISPs don't provide this type of functionality.  Webspace can be purchased from a variety of vendors with prices ranging from around $5 a month to $35 a month depending on how extensive your site needs are. Most vendors also charge a one-time setup fee of between $30 and $40.
  • graphics design - specialized graphics design bills out at $40 per hour as this is a more specialized skill and requires unique knowledge.
  • web site maintenance - periodic content changes can be made to your website at the rate of $25 per hour.  We can also work with you to train you in making your own site maintenance.
  • package deals - package deals can be brokered based on your unique needs.  These package options can run anywhere from $200 and up but can include free site maintenance.
